At the beginning of this journey, dad and Darin started growing their beards (to look like Yukon men I guess). I’ve been sharing monthly pictures since early June. Let’s look at their progress….
Since the last picture was taken, we have parted ways with mom and dad. They are exploring more of Canada and we headed south of the border to warm up a bit. Luckily, Washington is having a heat wave and I’m loving it!
I have big news – Darin shaved his beard and looks like the old Darin we know and love. As far as dad’s beard, he wants to keep growing it. Several people complimented his new look on Facebook so he doesn’t want to lose it. Mom, on the other hand, wants it gone! We’ll see who wins and I’ll be sure to update everyone.
UPDATE: Since I published this earlier today, I have learned that dad’s beard is gone!
